We are currently recruiting an experienced concrete finisher to join our site team. This role involves working on construction projects from foundations through to completion, delivering high-quality concrete finishes while maintaining the highest standards of health & safety.

You will work closely with the site foreman and other skilled trades, contributing to the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of works on site.

Requirements
Prepare work areas including setting out formwork, directing subgrade preparation, and mixing concrete
Place, spread and level fresh concrete to required depth and specification
Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools and power tools (e.g. floats, screeds, power trowels), including smooth or textured finishes
Form expansion joints, control joints, edges and details in accordance with drawings and specifications
Monitor weather conditions and carry out curing operations using appropriate methods and compounds
Carry out repairs and remedial works, including patching defects in new or existing concrete
Read and understand the Company Health and Safety Policy and carry out your work in accordance with its requirements.
Use the correct tools and equipment for the job.
Wear safety footwear at all times and use, where necessary, all provided protective clothing and safety helmets, goggles, respirators, etc.­
Keep tools in good condition.
Report immediately to supervision any defects in plant or equipment.
Work in a safe manner at all times. Do not take unnecessary risks that would endanger yourself or others. If possible, remove site hazards yourself, e.g. remove or flatten nails sticking out of timber, tie unsecured access ladders etc.
Do not use plant or equipment for work for which it was not intended or if you are not trained or experienced to use it.
Warn other employees, particularly new employees and young people, of particular known hazards.
Do not play dangerous or practical jokes or "horseplay" on site.
Report to supervision any person seen abusing the welfare facilities provided.
Report any injury to yourself which results from an accident at work, even if it does not stop you working
Report any damage to plant or equipment.
Suggest safer methods of working where you see it.
